Immunity
Immunity is a turn-based wargame created by a team of three players. Players need to manipulate the immune cells on the board to defeat viruses that invade the body and defeat the boss to win and defend their health. Players can control the chess are mainly red blood cells, white blood cells, macrophages, immune T cells, and other immune system cells. The enemies that players face will be divided into normal enemies and bosses. Normal enemies are influenza A virus, E. coli, norovirus, rotavirus, etc., while the boss is the new coronavirus. Players need to go through three levels of ordinary enemies before finally meeting the final boss.
Art Design
The design of our pieces is inspired by the game "Fall Guys" because I think the doppelganger design can alleviate the feeling of danger brought by the image of the virus itself.
At the same time, we combined some of the virus cartoons I had encountered as a child to figure out how to distinguish the bubble heads between the different pieces and design our pieces' look.
Animation Design
Since each chess has its own unique properties, they each have a unique attack method and injury animation.
There are two types of attacks, one is range, and one is melee, and according to
the different attack modes.
We also design the attack range and attack damage of each piece, which can better balance the value of the whole game and bring players a better experience.
Inspiration
This game is inspired by the New Coronavirus pandemic when people around us fear New Coronavirus. During the epidemic, especially within China, the general public's fear of the New Coronavirus has gone far beyond what it should have been.
And the effects of the New Coronavirus have caused countless people to die and suffer from the disease. We want to use this game to encourage people to eliminate their fear of the New Coronavirus, but we also want to use it to remind people of the devastation it has caused worldwide.
Simultaneously, we tried to make people understand the basic knowledge of the human immune system through this game.
